Cinematics?

Postby Ye_CUG » Thu Nov 20, 2003 12:35 am

Wow! Triplane Turmoil... I love this game! And I also love the WIP page of TT2 : that Himmelmeister thing gave me some good laugh. Yeah, I'm weird.

So I wondered... will you put some little cinematics in the game? You know, even some random fake-old-funny pics between one game and another. They'd be lovely, I think.

I love that useless stuff that makes you jiggle. Yeah, I'm weird.

Hmm, an interesting idea!

Hey, thanks signore! I genuinely hope you all had/have good fun with the good ol' classic!
\:D/

Well, that was pretty neat idea! Some pics might even work, considering it isn't that much "extra" work... we're already late with the deadline in a certain way, so I might need to let it go, unfortunately. Of course, it might be possible to have a vote what people think... more stuff for more time, or more stuff in patches. Hmm, I must remember this
:)

Actually, I think I put some generic vote up right now :) Thanks for the idea! (am I thanking myself?)

Cinematics, well. I'd say, that if they require extra work, it would be best to put those features into a futurecome patch.

Gifs put in the last minute would make me cry. But some cinematics could be nice, althou rather useless. But it's always nice to have extra stuff. Makes the file bigger.

I would only like the cinematics like TZ said if...

Postby dekstar » Mon Jan 05, 2004 9:04 pm

I was to buy the CD as i have a poor 56k (actual speed: 28.8k) and i am buying the CD anyway so make really cool cinematics with special effects :D! and you really should put extra stuff on the CDs or you will waste money (and we will) on buying a CD with about 20% used up. Just a thought :D

Or perhaps a full 3d air battle against you and the last pitiful remainings of the British army after you finish the German campaing (and the video ends when the USA nukes Berlin, just like they did in WWI)

There are ways to fill the extra space on the CD -- stuff related or perhaps not related to TT2, like failed music tracks not reaching the game at all (for the sheer torture), or more Dragst's compositions (see previous one), video interviews and other stuff done with a heavy hangover on a saturday afternoon -- CGI takes a lot of time to do properly, and I don't think people would want to spend extra money to watch crappy CGI.

I would like to pay extra money to make sure we get more good games.
