What old missions would you like to see remade in TTII?

Postby TZ » Fri Jun 17, 2005 4:50 pm

Well, I was just wondering what missions from the original Triplane Turmoil you guys would like to see make a glorious comeback in TTII? The new improved engine and better infantry AI would be really neat things to see in those missions.

Personally, I'd like to see the Finnish 4th mission, "Troop Escort" remade. I mean come on, that was one of the few missions in TT where you got to actually support your ground infantry. That would be really cool to see in TTII. And of course the famous "Sweating Sauna" would be really cool. I wouldn't mind seeing "Wood War" either, protect the birches!

So what old missions would you guys like to see? Just curious.

In case you have forgotten the missions, here's a list:

Germany
1. Coast Islands
2. Japanese Counterattack
3. English Channel
4. Treachery
5. Capture
6. Against odds

Finland
1. Beach-head
2. Complex wipeout
3. Beatc-head II
4. Troop Escort
5. Wood War
6. Showtime

Great Britain
1. Storehunt
2. Patriot Flight
3. Bombing Raid
4. Radio Interference
5. Channel Tunnel
6. Lord of the Lagoon

Japan
1. Tactical Bombardment
2. Finnish Outpost
3. Ransom
4. Harbor Hazard
5. Sweating Sauna
6. Oasis Offence

Well, I'd like to experiense Beach Head II in TTII. It's so much fun shooting those infantry and planes at the same time. Channel Tunnel is nice too. I'd like to see it on TTII too.

Hi! I'm new (or n00b) here. But I'm not gonna to ask "Hey Dragst, when TTII is coming"? ;)
Oh, there is question too. Hmm... I agree with TZ, I'd like to see Wood War in
TTII. It's so great honour to fight for Finnish wood. :D

Since Dragst is currently touring the Europe and is going to stay there for a week or two, TTII will most likely not come out during that time. But I don't believe we'll have to wait much longer once he gets back. I mean come on, some dudes have already played the game, so it must be nearly completed. From what I've heard it's mainly missions and some AI stuff that are still missing. I could be wrong though.

Naah. We nearly managed to release it before I went here (I'm currently in Austria :D) I'm very embarassed about not having pulled off the updates for our sites, but what can you do when I have to do all that stuff by myself. The missions and the remaining AI is work enough for my poor brain ;) ... Guess I need to do something about it when I get back to business! ;)

Uuuh, except that it's been in development for around 2 years now :P

but still, all of us are very eager. If it was a non-TT gaming company doing this then we'd all have given up... that's how much wee love TT :D

Well Personally I wouldn't like to see any of the old missions in TT2. I want TT2 to be original and fresh, full of unique content.

Yeah maybe as add-on missions when TT2 is finished. We don't want to put more time on Dragst's shoulders.

Yea, I agree. Let's wait until TTII is released, and maybe later it will come some update or something. Now we should to let Dragst rest and sleep... :)

Why don't you (Dragst) put new (Old TT maps) maps on the site for download so that you can choose what maps you want to download?
Sorry, bad englerish

you mean like the same graphics in the levels, but just updated so they work for TT2, then maybe when he has time update the graphics?

though you probably meant the hard way of converting every level to nice high-graphics and then uploading them. that = more time :(
