Mission Tips & Tricks -guide (SPOILERS!)

Postby Solobbos » Sun Oct 01, 2006 4:36 pm

Have an awesome tip to share for one of the missions? Please, share it here!

I have revamped the thread quite a bit. It looks quite empty atm, but at least the base for the info is here. Now we just need lots of info to make it not look so... Well, empty. So, please post advice on all of the missions that you can!

Tips and tricks for the missions:

German Missions

1. Culture Shock:

- Anti-Air cannon (the one which shoots single exploding grenade) is dangerous when flying high, and the Anti-Air Machine gun is dangerous when flying low-to-mid area. This mission is a breeze, if you take out the anti-air encampments out first. Just climb up high, and when you see the island start flying towards the cannon; It will most likely miss you EVEN if it's awake enough to notice you fast enough, and release a bomb. You don't even have to hit the cannon itself, since the manning soldier will die of the blast wave if you get it even remotely close. The machine gun you should bomb higher since it will tear you to shreds if you fly towards it.

2. Oktoberfest:

- At the beginning you can bring a few bombs and bomb some of the turrets to the left to get more space and therefore time to attack the bombers. After you have destroyed the nearest enemy turrets you should just load up on gas and bullets and keep shooting the planes down before they reach your fields.

3. Assessing ze Assailants:

4. Das Boot:

5. Concluded Conspiracy:

6. Complete Cancellation:

Finnish missions

1. Arctic Windmills:

2. Spyplane Turmoil:

- This one is a breeze. Just get away from the hangar with your bomb equipped, fly right until you see a burning plane that has crashed down. Now, start looking on the ground for a soldier moving there. Fly towards him and drop a bomb to kill him. If you want some extra points, you can kill the enemy plane a few times for a little bonus at the end of the mission.

3. Operation: S.T.F.U.:

4. Unbeknowst to Us:

5. Bastu Busters:

6. Finnish Finale:

Japanese missions

1. Gekirin:

2. Akuma no Ongaku:

3. Shinigami:

4. Jigoku no Hi:

5. Fuusha Daikonran:

6. Sekai Denryokukiki:

Russian Missions

1. Rebel Assault:

2. Drunken Sailor:

3. Troop Fuel:

British Missions

1. Innocent Imbeciles:

2. Two tea to thirty-two:

3. Residence Evil:

- In addition to the houses, you need to destroy the vehicles parked next to the houses too.

4. Escort Service:

5. Crown Jewels:

6. Royal Rumble:

American Missions

1. Finnish Fiends:

2. Mexican Contraband:

- Take three bombs and go to the Russian base. First bomb the AAA with one bomb and the crates on the piers with the other two. Then concentrate on shooting down Mexican planes (go land every time your plane is badly damaged). When there's no Mexican planes left go bomb the last crates.

3. Saving Sergeant Stubbs:

4. Impatient Interruption:

5. Doomed Dictator:

6. United Nations:

Questions:

Russia: First mission

How come I have so much problems finishing this mission? Have I missed something? Any help here?

There's some questions but feel free to tip any quest that you had problems in or asking more questions.

In England, third mission, I just can't take a photo of two bases out there. I have tried different heights and places etc. But always, "Nothing here."
Or was it a bug?

Finish base: Take the picture just from the end of the takeoff road. So, when you are directly up on the right side of the platform where you get up and land, take the picture. Also, have a lot of height. Not exactly at the top of the screen, but almost.

Japanese base: Just keep trying from different spots.

Where should I start and what should I bomb first? Should I attack left or just try to bomb the crates and stuff to the right?

This is how I do it:
Take three bombs and go to the Russian base. First bomb the AAA with one bomb and crates with the other two. Then concentrate on shooting down Mexican planes (go land every time your plane is damaged a lot). When there's no Mexican planes left go bomb the last crates.

Could you or an admin/mod add *SPOILERS* to the thread title please.

Which of the houses do I have to bomb? Do I have to bomb the ones in the distance?

I don't know if you can hit the buildings in the far background; I never succeeded. The Residence, however, consists of more than just the houses. I'm not sure if the AA-turrets are considered part of it, but in order to win you should bomb one or two of the little vehicles in addition to the houses.

Thank you Solobbos, I got good photo from Finnish base, thanks to you!
Umm, I'm not sure about this, but, in english, third mission: I quess that there shouldn't be any of bullets for your gun. But managed to get some for my plane.
I'm not sure should it be like that.

Yeah, I think it was unintentional too. Well, at least you got to shoot a few planes down, be happy! :P

Would it be an idea to have one thread for each countries missions? After a while I think that everything in one tread would make it quite hard to navigate in so many posts. After all there will be 36 missions which are described in the end.

That might be true.

Dragst, do you want to split the topic, leave it as it is or do you want me to do the new threads? I'll be more than happy to manage the threads.

Sounds good. Just do the new threads and rename this one. Oh by the way. Perhaps I'd be nice not to list all the missions, unless there is really something to write about it?

I have got a problem with the first (!) mission with the finnish plane. It seems like the second mill is impossible to hit - like it is in an other dimension. This is starting to get very frustrating. The first mill goes down very easily while the second mill stands whatever I do. Is there a "bug" in this mission, or must I just keep trying?

Well, as in TT1, all missions are solvable; proven by yours truly.

Try bombing it from left-to-right.

Halfdan already did the threads, I would've done 'em now. Should we stick with halfdans topics or should I make the threads?

Halfdan's are fine, just need to add *spoilers* to 'em.
